Today, we watched a piece of our history come down—our "old elementary school", a place filled with generations of memories, milestones, and moments that shaped so many of us in this great community and beyond.
While it’s never easy to say goodbye to a building that holds so much sentimental value, we do so with full hearts and hopeful eyes toward the future. This moment isn’t just about what’s ending—it’s about what we’re building together.
Thanks to the 2020 bond and the unwavering support of our Schoolcraft community, we’ve kept our promise to our kids, our families, and our future while accomplishing all of the following:
-A state-of-the-art new elementary school
-An ADA-compliant Roy H. Davis Stadium, now one of the premier gathering places in Southwest Michigan
-A brand-new roof on our Jr/Sr High School
-Collaborative learning spaces designed for 7th and 8th graders
-Upgraded, state-of-the-art safety and security systems
-Modern, efficient spaces for the Eagle’s Nest and Friday Pack food pantry organizations
And yes, the old building comes down—but the memories, the laughter in the hallways, the lessons learned, and the friendships made—they live on.
Thank you, Schoolcraft, for believing in the power of progress while honoring our past.
