Congratulations to our Drama Director, Leigh Fryling, for earning a grant from Midwest Energy and Communications. With this generous $1,200 grant, our Performing Arts Center will have a new light and soundboard. Thanks to MEC for this investment toward our performing arts.

We are excited for a student tailgate leading up to the District football game tomorrow evening against Lawton. Tailgating will begin at 5:45 P.M. with games, hot dogs, and snacks. We encourage our students to pre-purchase their game tickets in the SHS Main Office for $6.

Our Understanding Living Systems students are studying government, individual rights, voting, and how to stay safe. Students toured the Village office, hearing from Manager Cheri Lutz and Chief Bryan Campbell. We are fortunate for strong community partnerships for our students.

Do you have a student contemplating a career in math or engineering? American Axle & Manufacturing in Three Rivers is hosting area high school students on October 4th for Manufacturing Day for a behind the scenes look at the automotive industry. Sign up is in the Main Office.


Tonight's Paul DeWolf Memorial Invitational cross country meet begins with the HS Boys at 5:00 P.M., HS Girls at 5:10 P.M, and all MS runners at 5:50 P.M. Awards will take place inside the SHS PAC around 6:30 P.M. Good luck to all runners.

Freshmen Academy kickoff is Monday, August 26 from 3:50 PM until 7 PM at SHS. Our Freshmen Academy Mentors spent the day readying themselves for our in-coming freshmen. Thanks Craig Tournquist for leading our mentors and SHS teachers, Mrs. Pelton, Dr. Dobbin, and Kim Klocke for mentoring our mentors.
