Chris Kato is not only a daily streak runner for over 2000 days, marathon runner, cross country coach, Student Council advisor, Common Bond advisor, co teacher, active member on the Hard Core Specials PLC team, morning announcements champion, and renowned pro wrestler, but he is team player on the SHS staff, a patient and compassionate teacher, and a loyal friend to so many. Chris brings an amazing energy and positiveness to the students, staff and families at Schoolcraft High School. Chris encompasses so many of our Eagle values including his accepting all of us without judgement, his high expectations for learning for all of his students, his responsibility to school planning for student events, and his commitment to being the Eagle Cross Country coach and expansion of that program. Chris is an avid advocate and positive role model for students with special needs.! He is so deserving of the SOARING Eagle Award!
