Walking to Western for the Schoolcraft Scholarships!

In 2018, Dr. Rusty Stitt walked and rode 50 miles to help raise over $11,000 for student scholarships at SCS. Half of that money went to scholarships to the class of 2019 for university or trade schools, the other half was invested to build the scholarship fund.

For the class of 2020, a team of educators at SCS are prepared to "Walk to Western" to help raise scholarship funds. Read below to see how you can support these efforts:

2020 Goal: $15,000 ($1,000/mile being traveled)

Donations of $100 or less = Thanked as a "Purple Level" donor in the Senior Honors program.

Donations of $100-$499 = Thanked as a "Gold Level" donor in the Senior Honors program.

Donations of $500 or more = Scholarship in your name for 2020, Athletic pass for 2019-2020, Thanked as a "Soaring Level" donor in the Senior Honors program.

This a tax deductible way to support the youth of our community in a fun way!

When/Where will this event take place? A team from SCS will walk 15 miles (representing the 15 years that a student is enrolled in Schoolcraft (PreK-Early/Middle College) on Thursday, August 22nd. The walk will begin at the High School and will conclude at the education building on the WMU Campus, Sangren Hall, signifying the journey from PreK through college, career, and trade readiness!
