Mr. Powers is going to release the MS students that have Elementary siblings slightly early this fall. This will allow those students to walk, with masks on, to the elementary school loading zones to join their younger siblings. This routine will allow those families to pick up all their elementary and middle school students safely from one location.
Mr. Webster (Elementary Principal) emailed the elementary families this evening with this alert.

All students that need bus transportation, Even if they have signed up last school year will need to fill this bus request this year. ALL SIBLINGS WILL BE SITTING TOGETHER AND WILL BE ASSIGNED THE SAME SEAT.

Senior Car Parade
Friday, June 12, 2020
LINE-UP: 6:30 P.M. 6:50 P.M. - SHS Bus Loop (enter and drive forward to line up, keeping one car length between vehicles)
START: 7:00 P.M. - See map below for route
ROUTE: See map for details and be on the lookout for familiar faces during the parade.
END: Roy David Field
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
Schoolcraft Community Schools is excited to celebrate the SHS Class of 2020 with a car parade. This event is highlighting your path to graduation while providing those who guided your journey to graduation an opportunity to share their excitement and enthusiasm for our graduates’ accomplishments. Given the current climate for gatherings, all participants in the parade must remain in their vehicles during the line-up. When graduates and their drivers reach Roy Davis Field, they must remain in the car as you are greeted by Dr. Stitt and Mr. Dailey. The parade will be Live Streamed to share this celebration with those who cannot attend over FacebookLive on the SCS Facebook page.
Participants are encouraged to decorate their car with Purple and Gold to show your school spirit.
While we are celebrating our Seniors, the Village of Schoolcraft’s Police Department and SCS have the following guidelines to keep this event safe for all participants:
Each graduate needs to arrange for a driver with one graduate per car.
The graduate should sit in the passenger seat and refrain from cruising out of a sunroof or riding in the bed of a truck.
The speed limit will be maintained below ten miles per hour to offer.
During the parade, all drivers should maintain a car length’s distance between vehicles.
Spectators have designated areas for viewing in order to respect social distancing guidelines and to ensure they are positioned on the passenger side of the parade route so their cheers and applause is seen and heard by our Seniors.
Please ensure decorations are placed for the driver to have an unobstructed view of the road and do not cover any mirrors.

If you’re interested in volunteering and haven’t reached out to us yet, please contact Jennifer Gottschalk at jenniferjgottschalk@gmail.com or (269) 207-2335. We are also looking for 3 to 4 people from the Community to lead this effort if your interested contact me by next Monday, November 25th.

Hello Eagle Nation!
At our PTO meeting on Tuesday we learned that Boxtops has updated their procedure to get our schools some extra dollars...and it's easier for parents AND for US! :)
~Go to this link: boxtops4education.com
~Set up your account
~Download the app on your phone
~Scan receipts...
DONE!
There will still be a few Boxtops left on merchandise, but they are no longer printing them on the boxes and packages. Parents can still send in the ones they find, but encourage, encourage, encourage...them to do the step previously mentioned and start getting our school some extra dollars.
Happy Scanning!!

Tomorrow is our first "Delayed Start" of the school year.
If you're new to Schoolcraft or unaware of our "Delayed Starts" we're happy to explain them to you:
Delayed starts allow our students to arrive for a 8:45 am start* which provides our teachers time to collaborate professionally to make informed instructional plans for every student in all three of our building together. The staff of SCS arrive at 7:15 on delayed start Thursdays and work for 90 minutes as teams in "Professional Learning Communities". This is a powerful time for our staff that ensures that every student's instructional needs are being individually planned for by a group of dedicated Eagle Educators!
*Students can arrive at their normal arrival time on delayed starts and participate in activities in each respective school OR can arrive "delayed" between 8:30-8:45 and still be considered on time (not tardy).
Whether arriving at a "normal" time or "delayed" tomorrow, we look forward to educating your Eagle!
Questions? Email your teacher or contact your school office.

Greetings SCS Parents/Guardians:
This communication comes as notification of our next school safety drill event to take place this Wednesday morning, December 12th, in each of our three buildings. As part of the A.L.I.C.E. safety protocol, which you will recall is the board adopted procedural plan for school safety, each building will share a short, grade-level appropriate instructional video followed by the classroom teacher guiding their students through a Lockdown/Barricade practice event with the support and supervision of local law enforcement.
Please know that the Schoolcraft Community Schools take school safety very seriously and are committed to the enhanced security protocols provided through the A.L.I.C.E. program. We encourage parents to discuss this training with your student(s) both prior to and after the Wednesday training. Thank you in advance for your support!

This Thursday, December 6, is a delayed start day.
